The University of Nottingham provides teaching for the social work degree and master’s degree.

They are looking for people with lived experience of social work who are interested in how this experience can directly influence and benefit the learning of students studying social work as well as those involved in social work education.

They are looking for:

The University of Nottingham’s Centre for Social Work provides a wide range of opportunities including developing and / or delivering aspects of teaching, interviewing potential students, assessing student’s communication skills.  Your lived experience can be from childhood or as an adult and could relate to mental health, disability or child protective services for example, or you could have or previously had a caring responsibility.  Some opportunities are face to face, others on-line.  Social work is ever-changing and it is an exciting time to be directly involved and influence change.

Expected commitment:

Opportunities are varied and therefore these would be discussed with you depending on your own needs / commitments, experience and interests. Training for example around interviewing skills can be provided.
