Three practising social workers, whom all work for local authorities in the West Midlands, are currently working part time for West Midlands Association of Directors of Adult Social Services (WMADASS) on a research study.
The study aims to try and understand the use of knowledge and evidence within the adult social care workforce in the West Midlands.
They are looking for:
They are seeking individuals and carers, who used/have used support from adult social care including carers, to complete an online survey and join focus group discussions. These are about how knowledge and evidence is used in adult social care and how this may affect the service they receive.
Expected commitment:
Completion of the online survey will take approximately 5 minutes
Participation in the focus group discussion approximately 1 hour
Focus group discussion -Three focus group discussions with adult social care service users across the west Midlands (6- 10 participants per focus group). Two of the focus groups will be conducted online via Microsoft Teams. The third focus group will take place in person in a central location
Commitment to inclusion:
If there are any accessibility issues with completing the survey that require further support, they are happy to work with individuals
