The study team made up of service users, carers, personal assistants, researchers based at universities and health professionals are looking for people to help with a research project about pressure ulcer prevention. You don’t need to know anything about pressure ulcers or research to take part. They are interested in what is important to individuals and how people care for themselves (or others) day-to-day.

What is the project about?

They want to find out what people need to help prevent pressure ulcers at home.

They are looking for people who are:

-Adults (over 18) who live at home with a long-term condition that limits movement. For example, Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Spina Bifida, Motor Neurone Disease (MND), Muscular Dystrophy (MD), Cerebral Palsy (CP) or Spinal Cord Injury (SCI).

-Carers and personal assistants who support people at home.

How can I get involved?

This is a flexible project, with different ways to contribute:

  1. Be interviewed about your experiences, opinions and insights (face to face or online) and receive a £20 shopping voucher.
  2. Answer some questions via a smartphone app and receive a £20 shopping voucher.
  3. Join a mailing list to hear about this and future research.

If you apply to take part in this study please let the organisers know that you saw it advertised by Shaping Our Lives. Thank you!
