About the opportunity
Sarah West, a postgraduate researcher at Coventry University would like to talk to people who have experience of providing or receiving support to/from people in their personal networks, such as their friends, partners or family members (informal support). The overall aim of the project is to develop resources that can help supporters in the future.
They are looking for
The project is keen to hear from adults (18+) of all ages, genders, sexual orientations and ethnic and racial backgrounds, who live in the UK and have relevant experiences to share.
What is involved
Taking part would involve a one-to-one conversation with Sarah about your experiences of providing or receiving informal support. This will take around an hour and can be arranged for a time convenient to you. You can choose whether to take part by phone or online (with or without video). You will not be asked to give details of the sexual violence or abuse that you/the person supported experienced, and all questions will be optional to answer.
If you apply to take part in this study please let the organisers know that you saw it advertised by Shaping Our Lives. Thank you!
