About the role:
The digital resources (DR) directorate delivers vital services that empower UK further education, higher education and research in key areas spanning licensing, research management, and content and discovery, all underpinned by data and infrastructure. This role forms part of a multi-disciplinary, cross-directorate business operations team supporting these portfolios to ensure DR delivers on its strategic objectives and drives the directorate forward in key areas. These include product and portfolio management; service management and support; data architecture; technology and infrastructure; and engagement.

Our highly experienced team of engagement professionals is critical to the success of DR’s products and services, from running creative campaigns and e-communications, to hosting webinars and producing content such as member stories, blogs, guides, and social media material. Our role is to create a dialogue with members, to communicate a clear narrative, and to significantly improve the customer experience. The focus is on deepening impact and using every opportunity of interacting with audiences to create a better experience for them.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing and delivering the communications and engagement campaigns for priority products and services in the licensing portfolio. You will devise and develop campaigns, in close collaboration with licensing colleagues, marketing and communications teams, and the engagement manager, to deliver the relevant activity and materials.

Responsibilities will include:

• Design, build and manage e-communication campaigns to communicate effectively with members, including managing a fortnightly service update. Focussing on the user experience to ensure an excellent customer experience.
• Manage the day-to-day activity for priority engagement campaigns. Working with the product teams and engagement manager to populate plans and schedules with agreed tasks and deliverables and ensure deadlines are met. Keep the product teams,
operations team and key stakeholders informed of work plans and progress towards goals.
• Identify and implement agreed tracking measures for campaigns and monitoring on an ongoing basis, proactively making recommendations to optimise and improve performance.
• Lead on the planning, coordination and promotion of events to achieve product goals, identifying opportunities for events accordingly, and engaging with external stakeholders and partners to take them from initial idea to delivery.
• Possess a deep understanding of our customers and their needs, desires and pain points by liaising directly with our users and the wider community.
• Writing effective production briefs and co-ordinating delivery across teams.
• Deliver timely reports on engagement activity for key funders, partners and stakeholders, and contribute to the overall picture of the value and impact of our work, both internally and externally.
