The National Institute for Health and Care Research is pleased to share an opportunity to be involved in the co-design of a commercial research study (that is a study funded by a pharmaceutical, biotechnology or medical device company) into children with migraine, by participating in a remote insight session. We want to hear your experiences of living with this condition to ensure that this and future research is as accessible as possible for everyone, by designing it for patients, with patients.
The NIHR is looking for up 4 adult individuals (age over 18), living in the UK, to participate in this opportunity.
They are looking for people who have lived experience, as a parent or carer, of caring for a child (aged between 6 years and 18 years) who has had a diagnosis of migraine for at least 6 months and who would be willing to share their experiences and management of this condition. You will need to be comfortable with attending an online discussion session through Zoom.
This is a two-and-a-half hour online session, which will be held through Zoom. The company will present their study, and participants will be asked questions around their condition, what they think of the study and what challenges they foresee for people taking part in the study. Participants will be identified by first name only and will not be expected to share any information they are uncomfortable sharing.
Documents will be sent via email. The NIHR PECD service will endeavour to make these documents as accessible as possible, depending on participant requirements. The NIHR will send an accessibility form ahead of the event to enable us to meet the accessibility needs of all participants.
The closing date to apply is 6th December 2024.
