About the opportunity
Ella’s is looking for new members to join its Survivor Advisory Board, helping to shape the support it provides to women who have experienced trafficking and sexual exploitation.
The Board brings together women with lived experience to advise Ella’s on its work. Members have helped shape its safe houses, services, recruitment, fundraising and communications.
Meetings are facilitated by an external facilitator, with Ella’s Co-Directors attending to listen and report back on what has changed as a result of members’ contributions. Other staff may also attend to share their work and hear members’ ideas.
Meetings are relaxed and friendly, with lunch and snacks provided. Members can share as much or as little as they feel comfortable with.
Who can take part?
Ella’s is looking for women who:
- Are survivors of trafficking and/or sexual exploitation.
- Are over 18 years old.

- Can understand and speak English.
What’s involved?
- Attending four in-person meetings each year in central London.
- Making a minimum commitment of one year.
- Sharing experiences, ideas and feedback to help shape Ella’s services and activities.
Members will also have opportunities to develop skills in leadership, teamwork, governance and strategy.
