The University of Liverpool are looking for volunteers to take part in an individual online interview exploring the process of recovery from psychosis and how mindfulness has been used in the recovery journey. As part of the interview, you will be asked to bring items which have some personal significance to your recovery experiences with you. This could include photographs, art, or objects. They hope this research will help them to gain more information about how recovery can be promoted for those experiencing psychosis.

Please get in touch if :

  1. you have past experiences of psychosis, this may or may not include a formal diagnosis of a psychosis-spectrum disorder,
  2. you have been recovered for at least 12 months and have had no significant intervention or crisis intervention from mental health services for the 12-month period, but does not include routine medical appointments,
  3. you have practiced mindfulness as part of your recovery,
  4. you are aged 18 or over, and
  5. you speak fluent English.

Expected commitment:

Participants are asked to attend a 30-to-60-minute, online interview at a time that is convenient to them (Monday to Friday, 10:00 – 16:00).

Closing date to apply: 31st July 2025

Participants can choose a time and date that suits them after contacting the researcher. Interviews are conducted online over Microsoft Teams. The research team are also available for a chat before involvement to help with any questions.
