Website Cornish Metals

The Company
Cornish Metals is an AIM listed Company working towards re-opening the 100% owned and fully permitted South Crofty underground tin mine in Pool, Cornwall.

In March 2025, we raised £57.4 million, anchored by the UK’s National Wealth Fund and Vision Blue Resources to advance South Crofty towards tin production once again.  Tin is essential for electronics, renewable energy, and modern technology and demand is projected to increase by 30% in the next decade.

We are committed to ethical, responsible and domestic tin production and are proud to have strong local and national support.

Role Purpose
We are seeking a Stakeholder & Community Engagement Coordinator (maternity cover) to take a key role in delivering and maintaining the Company’s stakeholder engagement and community relations activities.  The role is central to ensuring positive, constructive and well-managed relationships with local communities, stakeholders and partners.  The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of stakeholder engagement systems, communication activities and reporting processes, working closely with the Head of Communications, ESG Manager and wider project team.

This is a varied people focused role requiring excellent communication skills, strong organisation and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a sensitive and dynamic environment.

The role will involve frequent travel to site and various stakeholder locations across Cornwall, therefore a full current UK driving licence, or alternative ability to efficiently undertake the duties of the role and reliably travel to site is essential.

Cornish Metals is an equal opportunities employer and is committed to diversity, equality and inclusion in the workplace.  A copy of our Diversity, Equality and Inclusion Policy is available on our website.
