The National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) is pleased to share an opportunity to be involved in the co-design of a commercial research study (that is a study funded by a pharmaceutical, biotechnology or medical device company) into acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), by participating in an online insight session.  They want to hear your feedback to ensure that this, and future research, is as accessible as possible for everyone by designing it for patients, with patients.

What the NIHR is looking for:

  • Up to 8 adult individuals (aged over 18), living in the UK
  • People with lived experience, as a patient or parent/carer, of acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) or other acute leukaemias, who are willing to share their experiences and management of this condition
  • You will need to be comfortable with attending an online discussion session through Zoom

Expected commitment from participants:

  • This is a 2.5 hours online session, which will be held through Zoom
  • The company will present their study, and participants will be asked questions around their condition, what they think of the study, and what challenges they foresee for people taking part in the study
  • Participants will be identified by first name only and will not be expected to share any information they are uncomfortable sharing

Closing date to apply: Sunday 4th January 2026

The NIHR will send an accessibility form ahead of the online session to enable us to meet the accessibility needs of all participants.
