What exactly will you be doing?


As the Head of Community Engagement at AAT, you will be responsible for growing our membership population and fostering a strong sense of community amongst members and students. Your role will involve developing and delivering programmes and experiences that encourage community interaction, collaboration and advocacy, while boosting AAT’s brand reach. You will lead on establishing, maintaining and growing member and student ambassador programmes, championing the value of the AAT community. Working closely with other AAT teams, you will strategically align community engagement efforts to maximise their impact across the organisation.

Your major objectives will include:

  • Shape the future of AAT by spearheading innovative community engagement strategies
  • Create unforgettable experiences that bring our vibrant community together
  • Develop valuable partnerships to expand AAT’s reach and influence in the accounting world
  • Build and nurture thriving online communities that become go-to hubs for knowledge sharing
  • Cultivate a network of passionate AAT ambassadors who champion our brand
  • Reimagine and revitalise AAT’s branch network for the digital age
  • Directly influence AAT’s programmes and services by amplifying member and student voices

 

What are we looking for?


We are seeking a qualified professional with:

  • Extensive knowledge of professional membership organisations and networks
  • Strong understanding of community management theory and practice
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
  • Proven experience in community management and development
  • Track record of managing professional member networks and communities
  • Experience in building and managing commercial partnerships
  • Ability to oversee and deliver large-scale, high-impact brand-building events
  • Experience in growing and managing brand ambassador programmes and professional networks
  • Strategic and creative thinking with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Strong customer focus and ability to lead across teams
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Data analysis and visualisation capabilities
  • Membership of a relevant professional association or membership body (desirable)
